As Christ-followers, our intent should be to stir up love and good works, not forsaking (or abandoning) the assembling of ourselves together. We have our faith as we stand alone but when we have our faith in a corporate gathering, it is solidified. We can pray alone but when we pray as a group, we are lifted.
We can read the Word of God alone but as the church, we the bride, grow in relationship with God and one another as we read the Word of God together! We can sing alone but to sing together in unison brings strength and blessing. We must consider the flock, but we must allow the flock to consider for themselves. They know the truth, and, in the truth, their hearts and minds can and will be settled, knowing God is sovereign to the means of the end. Pastors (shepherds) point the people to the one true Shepherd! How can we deny them that if they are given the option and choose to want to come together to worship Him? In unprecedented days, we need allowance - not to make them come but to allow them to come if they choose to. We cannot and we must not abandon the worship of our Holy God! It is in unison of heart, mind, and soul that the bride of Christ is washed in the Word. Mark 10:9 says, “What God has joined together, let no one separate.” Christ always chooses to be adored by his bride. Come on church arise, stand! Our King is coming soon. We, as Pastors (shepherds) do not have the right to decide for our people what they should fear. They are smart and reasonable people! When we open our churches, we need to tell them the dangers, but we also need to support them in coming if they choose. America was built on our freedom to worship as we please! Tyranny is never an option! We have no right to decide for our people that they should be fearful. Our job is to help lift them up above the circumstance to live life well; in FAITH, believing the promises of our Lord Jesus Christ. If this crisis has not brought you to your knees to pray, you should be worried-not about toilet paper but about your soul. If this crisis has not caused you to open your Bible, you should be worried-not worried about the government, but worried about your soul. If this crisis has not caused you to focus on the one true God who is Jesus Christ-you should be worried; not worried about a virus but worried about your soul. JESUS CHRIST is coming soon and if your soul is filled with darkness, you should be worried! But… IF you are PRAYING… IF you have opened your BIBLE… IF you are focusing on GOD… IF you are striving for a relationship with JESUS CHRIST… THEN - your soul is full of the light of Christ and THERE IS NO WORRY FOR THOSE WHO SERVE HIM! Look up Matthew 6:25-30 JESUS is coming soon! We must dwell on who HE is! “Turn your eyes upon JESUS, look full in HIS wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of HIS GLORY AND GRACE.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. DO YOU BELIEVE THIS?”
